Float Rebuild Update
posted 11/12/2019
The first phase of our float rebuild is well underway, we have installed temporary slips on B and D docks to move the boats from G and H docks to, and have now started installing the new floats on F dock. The new floats are much wider, and more stable than the old ones, the new concrete piles are being driven, the South ramp has been replaced, and the new electrical service is starting to be installed.
The project is on track so far, we aim to have this phase finished well before our March deadline.
We also have our new garage building well under way, the foundation has been poured and the steel building should start being erected soon. This building is to provide more space for our tenants, and also provide a workshop for the marina staff.
At the moment we have float and building materials stored around the parking lots along with quite a few storage boats in the North parking lot. There is however still plenty of customer parking for this time of year.
Please try to avoid parking near any active work areas, and please use caution when walking to and from E and F docks during the construction. The piledriving crane is very active so please try to avoid walking under it while it is in use. There are also many people working on the floats and they may not be aware that you are close by.
Thanks for you patience and co-operation during all of the construction.
