Wind Storm December 20, 2018

Westport was hit by a rare wind storm blowing from the South West on Thursday December 20th. A high gust of 44.7 knots was recorded on the marina weather station.
There was no major damage and we did not loose power, but marina staff were kept busy all day dealing with un-furled sails, shredded tarps & canvas, and broken mooring lines. We have contacted the owners of the vessels with the above mentioned issues, but all boat owners should come and check on their vessels as soon as possible.
